Goddess of the Rose (Goddess Summoning, #4)Goddess of the Rose by P.C. Cast
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

P.C. Cast's "Goddess of the Rose" is like being trapped in a wildly romantic dream with a generous helping of erotic pleasure...WOW! It is an awesomely sexy read with a fun blend of personalities. I'm always a sucker for a brooding bad boy, but finding a hero in the least anticipated place was totally unexpected. Love, love, love this novel and can not wait to start the others!

The Memory EaterThe Memory Eater by Matthew Hance
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Matthew Hance’s collection of stories titled “The Memory Eater - Stories that Erase the Past to Save the Future” - is a awesomely wild adventure into the lives of people seeking relief from painful memories - and the misfortunes that follow them afterward. The stories range from humorous to tragic and everything in between. A uniquely fresh idea, one that I plan to read over and over! (My favorite story within: "Ask Emily" - It was tragically funny...loved the Advice Columnist). A++

Wallace: The Underdog Who Conquered a Sport, Saved a Marriage, and Championed Pit Bulls--One Flying Disc at a TimeWallace: The Underdog Who Conquered a Sport, Saved a Marriage, and Championed Pit Bulls--One Flying Disc at a Time by Jim Gorant
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Jim Gorant’s novel “Wallace” is an uplifting story about one misunderstood dog’s amazing journey and the few (heavily outnumbered) humans who refused to give up on him. I was gripped from the first few pages and could not put this book down. I’d like to say a BIG HA-HA to the individuals who, instead of taking time to understand this incredible animal, took the easy way out - believing the gossip and negative hype because of a few bad dogs (probably due to negligent owners)…Wallace (even on his worst day) was totally worth the effort!!!

Try the MorgueTry the Morgue by Eva Maria Staal
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Eva Maria Staal’s “Try the Morgue” was a fascinating story featuring no-nonsense language that situates the unsuspecting reader right in the middle of arms deals, war zones, and scary-as-hell situations in third world countries - she holds nothing back! Her unique blending of her two worlds - housewife and mother versus her “straight-laced” arms dealer persona - was a pretty wild ride, making it a unique read.

Marjorie Swift Doering’s, Dear Crossing, is a suspenseful ride following the fallacy of human greed, ambition, and addiction.  I have a weakness for bad boys, especially heart-broken, bar-fighting, underdog cops like Ray Schiller….wow!  With numerous suspects - all having motive and opportunity for the grisly murder of one prominent woman - I found it refreshing to read a novel and not have the villain pinpointed by the end of chapter one.  Affairs and lies run rampant, countered with understanding and budding friendships.  - and the actual villain surprised me!  Don’t miss a good read.

FREE eBooks =D

Want some free eBooks?  Tired of paying for the classics?  Just want to check out more in a genre you love?  Looking for something new and exciting?  Here are two sites where you can do just that:

Project Gutenberg
One of my favorite sites!  Offers over 40,000 eBooks in several different formats.  A few of their most popular downloads include:
  • The Bible
  • Pride and Prejudice
  • Dracula
  • The Kama Sutra
  • War and Peace
  • How to Analyze People on Sight
 Amazon
I've found myself scanning their eBook section for freebies on a daily basis.   My favorite search is "free paranormal romance" (thank you Rachel).  I'm not sure how long it will last, but you can get the awesome "Fire Burn and Cauldron Bubble" by the very talented H.P. Mallory for...yes, you guessed it...FREE!
